Village is an abstract, or geometric-design rug, with three distinct solutions all in one. For me, the bright yellow shapes surrounding the center feel like buildings, with dark fields beyond them. It is a rug that was several years in the making. I started it and worked on the center, hung it on my work wall, and then returned and finished it. It evolved as I worked, and is not what I expected when I started it. It's made with a collection of hand dyed and as-is wools, on linen, and is quite big -- 31" by 32". It's great on the floor or on the wall.
