Angels with Blue Shoes is a return to probably my favorite theme that theoretically belongs in the land of holiday rugs, but, for me, is simply about the beauty of honoring and recognizing whatever set of beliefs a person may have. These two angels hold small torches and stand in a landscape of green, with a sky full of rays of sun, moonbeams, comets — who knows what. I love the simplicity, the outdoors-ness, the quiet of this motif. This rug measures 14” high by 17” wide and has a muslin sleeve and dowel for displaying it on the wall. I could definitely see it placed on a bed.
