1823 Country Church is based on this old white wooden church I discovered when I went home the back way after a bike ride on the trail this summer. It was so great to see it just appear out of nowhere as I drove slowly along the back road. It’s not in use right now, so its vacantness is somehow meaningful during these difficult times. I’m not a church goer, I have a personal belief system that is based more on the natural world, but this beautiful 19th century building is one of the sweetest things I’ve come across in recent months.

This rug is 15” high by 16” wide, with a black and white bias binding and a lot of hand dyed wools. Perfect for display on the wall or table.
